Valley Stream Inn Comes Down

The former Northampton hot spot is facing demolition crews.

Crews have begun work to tear down a landmark restaurant and bar in Northampton. The Valley Stream Inn was closed for good after the Mill Creek stream filled the valley the building sits in with several feet of water during Hurricane Irene in September 2011. Once the wood paneled building is demolished and cleanup of the site finished, the county will preserve the nearly 3 acre property as open space, Bucks County Parks and Recreation Department Executive Director Bill Mitchell said in a May 2012 interview. The lot runs along Bridgetown Pike and Mill Creek. Bucks County commissioners approved the $230,000 federally funded purchase of the property early last year. Valley Stream Inn to be Razed

The landmark restaurant and bar closed after years on being flooded by the Neshaminy Creek.

The wood paneled building has been an icon in the Langhorne section of Northampton Township for more than 50 years, but the Valley Stream Inn will soon to demolished, according to Bucks County Parks and Recreation Department Executive Director Bill Mitchell. The same valley and the stream that patrons gazed at as they enjoyed dinner, a drink, or Sunday brunch at the iconic restaurant and bar proved to be its downfall. The Valley Stream Inn was closed for good after the Mill Creek stream filled the valley the building is situated in with several feet of water during Hurricane Irene in September 2011. Hope the inn is preserved as well. A shame it can not be rebuilt and elevated in some way? I am a wedding planner/florist and always looking for investment properties to buy to do weddings my way personalized . Inn is the way to go.
