But, wedding and event planning experts from Hatboro-based Trilogy Event Design shared some of the top tips to consider when planning a wedding. The chief event planner at a Hatboro-based wedding and event planning business shares the most lavish–and most frugal–ceremonies she has helped to plan.
Nuptials on the beach. Golf for the guys. Brunch for the girls. An extravagant reception for 200 people two months later. Price tag? According to Randi Martin, Trilogy Event Design chief event planner, the two-part wedding which started in Cape May, N.J., with a pared-down guest list of 20 and finished in Southampton with 200 guests, cost the couple a cool $70,000. But Martin said she has seen weddings cost much less–$7,000–and still be "nice." "That was a lot of do-it-yourself projects," Martin shared of what would be the least expensive wedding she's helped to coordinate in her seven years as an event planner. The 5th Annual Bucks County Bridal Show will be held on Sunday, Feb. 17.
Attention all brides: Visit Bucks County will host its 5th annual bridal show this Sunday. The event is free. Starting at 12:30 p.m., brides and their guests can learn more about what Bucks County has to offer as far as venues and services for that special day. "This bridal show is unique as it is at a neutral location where we are able to showcase many of Bucks County's unique wedding venues," Michelle Greco Falcone, the communications manager for Visit Bucks County. Visit Bucks County has teamed up with Philadelphia Wedding Magazine for a contest that will award a couple a wedding at the historic Pen Ryn Mansion with all the necessary details.
Being a great groom could pay off big in 2013. That’s because Visit Bucks County and Philadelphia Wedding Magazine are teaming up for “The Search for The Greatest Groom,” with the grand prize being an all-expenses paid Bucks County wedding. You can enter here at the magazine’s Web site until the end of this year. The winner will be announced at Visit Bucks County’s February bridal show, as well as in the magazine’s February issue. The winning couple will also be the subject of a cover story for the magazine.
