Code Blue Alert Continues Through Jan. 28

The National Weather Service is predicting more frigid temperatures, which has caused Bucks County to extend the Code Blue declaration through Monday, Jan. 28

Temperatures the past few days have been frigid, and more of the same is expected in the coming days. Bucks County has decided to extend the Code Blue Weather alert through Monday, Jan. 28. The National Weather Service is predicting temperatures to drop to a low of 13 degrees Wednesday night and to remain low until Monday morning, causing the the Bucks County Emergency Management Agency and the Health Department to extend the Code Blue declaration through 7 a.m. on Monday. Additionally, snow is likely on Friday, according to National Weather Service predictions. Further arrangements have been made with area churches to open their doors as emergency shelters. Expected Snowfall may Cause Messy Commute

The National Weather Service has issued hazardous weather outlook for tonight and Tuesday.

The National Weather Service reports that Bucks and Montgomery Counties can expect about an inch of snow overnight—enough to make Tuesday's commute slippery. The Hazardous Weather Outlook posted by NWS states that an additional inch or so could accumulate Tuesday, possibly mixed with rain. Any remaining snow will probably be washed away by afternoon rain. Holland Town Hall Meeting Cancelled

The meeting originally scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 7 at 7 p.m., has been cancelled.

A possible winter storm has caused the township to cancel a meeting to discuss a Master Plan for the future of the Village of Holland, according to a public notice posted on the township website by the township manager. The township wants a good turnout, according to Township Manager Robert Pellegrino, and since Bucks County is under a winter weather advisory, the best solution was to cancel the meeting. The winter weather advisory comes with an expectation of 2 to 5 inches of snow accumulation. The meeting, which was originally scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 7 at 7 p.m. at the township building, was going to be an opportunity for the community to get involved in developing a Master Plan for the area along with the township and Buck County …
