Township Yard Waste Program Ends Dec. 15

As of Dec. 15, yard waste will be collected with household trash.

The yard waste program for composting of leaves and yard waste ends on Dec. 15, according to an announcement from the township. Each house may put out a maximum of five containers of yard waste. Collection will start at 6 a.m., and the township urges you plan accordingly. After Dec. 15, yard waste will be collected with your household trash, until April 1. In April, the yard waste program will start up again.

Thanksgiving Pushes Back Trash Collection

Trash should be put out a day later for pickup.

Those who normally have trash collection on Thursday and Friday will have delayed pickup due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Trash will not be collected on Thanksgiving Day, according to a message from the township.  Residents who have trash collection on Thursday will have trash and recycling picked up on Friday, Nov. 23, and yard waste will be collected on Saturday, Nov. 24. This pushes back collection for the remainder of the week. Additionally, the township administration building will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 22 and Friday, Nov. 23 to observe the holiday. Offices will reopen on Monday, Nov. 26.

Yard Waste Collection Delayed

Because of the weather and the volume of yard waste, the township's collection has been delayed a few days.

Due to the recent extreme weather conditions and the large volume of yard waste, its collection has been delayed, the township said. "The collection of yard waste has been delayed one to two days," an announcement on the township's website said. "JP Mascaro has added additional trucks and their employees are working 12 hour shifts to try to collect all of the yard waste." Yard waste collection will continue into Saturday.
