Two Warrington men were charged with theft and more for stealing envelopes of cash and checks from Spring Mill Manor and Northampton Valley Country Club.
Two men were charged with theft and related crimes after stealing money from wedding receptions and other formal gatherings, according to a recent Northampton Township Police blotter. John Connor Adair, 20, and Perry Longo Jr., 20, both of Warrington, would walk into wedding reception or other gatherings and steal envelopes containing cash and checks for just married couples or guests of honor, according to police. Four incidents took place in Northampton Township. On April 28, 2012, $650 in cash was taken from Spring Mill Manor. Then again on May 19, $1,850 in checks and $1,050 in cash were taken from the reception hall. Northampton Township Police released a recent crime summary for Wednesday, July 12 through Tuesday, July 17, which included several reports of criminal mischief, vandalism, thefts and more. Theft 25 Upper Holland Road – Free Library of Northampton Township On Tuesday, July 17 the Library Director reported that sometime between Thursday, July 12 at 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Monday, July 16 someone removed internal components from 12 desktop computers in the computer lab. Each computer had two internal memory cards valued at $50 a piece, for a total value of approximately $1,200. The Northampton Township Police Department is urging residents to lock their cars when left unattended.
In the past two weeks' police reports alone, there have been 13 thefts or attempted thefts reported from unlocked cars. "Northampton Township has been experiencing a rash of thefts from unlocked vehicles during the overnight hours in specific locations throughout the Township," a police statement said. "If you leave your vehicles unlocked and with valuables inside you are inviting thieves to your neighborhood." The department is hoping a message to community members with their "Lock It or Lose It" campaign will get them to lock up so they don't lose out. Saturday, July 16: DUI-Related Traffic Crash on Buck Road At 1:16 a.m. officers responded to a traffic crash at the railroad underpass in the unit block of Buck Road. On arrival they found that at northbound vehicle being operated by Nathan Kriegler, 44, of Holland, had struck the stone bridge abutment and guardrail then drove threw the tunnel and struck the back of a vehicle that had pulled over to check on the first crash. Officers found Kriegler, who was unrestrained in his vehicle, had suffered injuries requiring he be transported to the Saint Mary medical Center. Thursday, July 7: Theft from Vehicle on Cynthia Drive The victim, a contractor who was working at a residence, reported that sometime between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m., someone had entered his unlocked work truck that was parked in the driveway and stole his cell phone and various tools. The items had a combined estimated value of $470. Friday, July 8: Public Drunkenness at 2nd Street Pike and New Road While on patrol at 12:21 a.m. an officer saw a subject run across 2nd Street Pike and to the front of a business. The subject was stopped and identified as Kevin Carr, 22, of Churchville. During the course of the encounter the officer was able to determine Carr had been drinking, he was transported home and cited for Public Drunkenness. …

Monday, June 6: MV Theft at Unit block of Hilltop Drive The victim reported that while visiting a relative in the unit block of Hilltop Drive her niece stole her vehicle from the home's driveway around 2:00 p.m. The vehicle's LoJack anti-theft device was activated and its signal was picked up by a Philadelphia Police Department helicopter. The air unit was able to direct Philadelphia PD ground units to intercept the vehicle in the Kensington section of the city.
