Famous Footwear to Donate Socks for Soldiers
Socks will be donated to McGuire Air Force Base in New Jersey.
The community is being asked to donate old shoes that will be recycled to raise money for the Socks for Soldiers program. At June's Northampton Township Board of Supervisors meeting, resident Lori Loughlin explained that area Famous Footwear's are teaming up with ShoeBox Recycling in order to raise money to purchase socks that will then be donated to soldiers. Loughlin said that the nearest participating location to Northampton Township is Warminster's Famous Footwear, located at 940 W Street Rd. This location has a box in the front of the store where people can drop off their used shoes.
