In the event of a snow storm, no one can park on public streets within the township from the time it begins to snow until 72 hours after it stops, according to the police department. Anyone who violates this ordinance can be fined or towed. If snow accumulates and needs to be shoveled, all sidewalks that are adjacent to a public highway must be cleared within 24 hours after the snow has stopped falling. Preparations Underway As Parade Draws Near

Upper Southampton is readying for Monday's festivities which will bring thousands of people to the township.

Final preparations for the upcoming week's festivities are underway all around Upper Southampton. With less than 72-hours remaining public works crews swept the street, placed barricades to block traffic at strategic locations, and volunteers hung posters along Second Street Pike. The parade is set to kick off at 9:30 a.m. and travel 1.7 miles from Second Street Pike and Jaymor Road to Klinger Middle School, where the parade will end. According to the Southampton Days website everyone that will be participating in the parade must meet on Jaymor Road and be in place at 9:30 a.m. when the parade starts or they will be placed at the end of the parade.
