DUI Charges Pending for Holland Man After Car Crash

In a recent blotter, police detailed a car crash that may result in DUI charges.

DUI charges will be filed after a 21-year-old Holland man refused a blood test after a car crash, according to a police blotter. On Wednesday, Dec. 26 at 12:38 a.m., officers responded to a single vehicle accident on Buck Road at the Railroad overpass bridge by Falcon Drive, a police report said. On arrival they found a vehicle that had struck the bridge wall and sustained disabling damage. Both the vehicle’s driver and its passenger were transported by ambulance to the Saint Mary Medical Center for treatment of their injuries.  While at the hospital, officer’s observations of the driver, a 21-year-old from Holland, led to their asking that he submit to the drawing of blood samples for analysis, which he refused. Burglaries, Thefts Among Police Reports

The Northampton Township Police Department released a recent police blotter.

In addition to a 19-year-old being cited with public drunkenness, underage drinking and disorderly conduct, police reported to incidents of burglary, theft and more. Attempted Residential Burglary 200 block of Sycamore Circle On Friday, Dec. 21 a resident reported having been out of the home between 1:20 and 2 p.m. and returning to find a rear door had been forced open. Nothing was found to be taken from the home, which is located on the 200 block of Sycamore Circle. Burglary – Residential – Forced Unit block of Elm Avenue The property owner of a home on the unit block of Elm Avenue reported finding that sometime after Sept. 15, while she was away, entry had been forced to her home. Police Cite 19-Year-Old with Public Drunkenness, Underage Drinking, Disorderly Conduct

Northampton Township Police Department released a recent blotter.

Police cited a 19-year-old with disorderly conduct, underage drinking and public drunkenness after responding to a disturbance report, according to a recent blotter. While investigating a disturbance on South Timber Drive in Holland at 4 a.m., officers encountered a 25-year-old male and 19-year-old female engaged in a verbal argument. The man told police that he was simply trying to leave. The teenager, who is from Holland, was found by officers to be intoxicated and loud. After three attempts to get her to go back inside and to remain in her home, she was taken into custody and returned to Northampton Township Police Department headquarters where she was cited for disorderly conduct, underage drinking and public drunkenness, before being …

Number of Car Accidents Decrease in Northampton

The number of traffic accidents throughout Northampton Township continues to drop, according to information provided by the police department.

The number of accidents throughout Northampton Township dropped in November, according to data released by the police department. Compared to data from 2011, there were five fewer accidents in November. 52 traffic accidents were reported in the township in Nov. 2012. Of those accidents, one was attributed to the snow that fell during the month. Nearly eight injuries were a result of the traffic accidents, but no fatal crashes occurred in November. The highest crash area from January to November 2012 took place in police reporting area 109, which includes Route 232 from Almshouse Road south to Tanyard Road; west to Hatboro Road; north to Almshouse Road; east to Route 232. Forum to be Held Saturday on Council Rock South Threat

Police Chief Barry Pilla and Superintendent Mark Klein will meet with parents and students to answer questions regarding the incident.

Council Rock South is sponsoring a forum for parents and students to discuss the threat made against the school on Saturday, Dec. 22 at 4 p.m. Chief Barry Pilla of the Northampton Township Police Department and Superintendent Mark Klein will be available in the school's auditorium to answer questions regarding this incident. On Friday, a 14-year-old male Council Rock South student was arrested and charged with terroristic threats and possession of a firearm by a minor after he threatened to bring a gun and knives to school, police explained at a press conference.. Police reported to incidents of underage drinking, burglary and DUI in a recent blotter.

In addition to pending DUI charges for the intoxicated man who drove to the Northampton Township Police Department to complain about being fired from his job, police reported to incidents of underage drinking, burglary and another DUI. Burglary – Residential - Forced Unit block of Woodstream Drive On Tuesday, Dec. 11 a resident of the unit block of Woodstream Drive reported having returned home at 5:30 p.m. to find that some had forced entry in to the home. The last family member left the house at about 8:30 a.m. A laptop computer was taken from the home. Drunk Man Drives to Police Station; DUI Charges Pending

DUI charges are pending for an intoxicated man who drove to the police department to complain about being fired from his job.

Charges for DUI are pending after a man, who showed signs of intoxication, drove to the Northampton Township Police Department to complain about being fired from his job, according to police reports. Just before 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 13, a man who walked into the Northampton Township Police Head Quarters displayed signs of intoxication and was in an agitated state over having been terminated by his employer, a police blotter said. Officers found that the 53-year-old Newtown man had driven to the station.  He was unable to successfully complete a series of field dexterity tests and was taken into custody on suspicion of having been driving while under the influence. Northampton has Cluster of Thefts from Vehicles

Thieves grab everything from iPods to sunglasses from 11 cars in two days. Message from police: Lock your car doors.

In its most recent blotter, Northampton Township Police Department reports thefts from 11 vehicles in two days. Sunday Dec. 9, 2012 100 block of Adams Court The complainant reported at 3:10 p.m. that she saw two men rooting through the glove box of her vehicle that was parked in the lot by her home.  She last saw the suspects walking towards Independence Drive. On arrival, officers found two vehicles that had been gone through; the complainants and one other. At the time of the report it was unknown what had been taken from either vehicle.  The first suspects was described as a white man, wearing a gray sweat suit and knit cap the second as a white man, wearing a baseball cap.  No further description of either subject was provided. 500 …

Police reported several thefts in the recent police blotter.

Incidents of criminal mischief and thefts were reported in a recent blotter from the Northampton Township Police Department. Theft 1000 block of Almshouse Road On Monday, Dec. 3 a resident of the 1000 block of Almshouse Road reported that sometime overnight an ornamental, illuminated deer was stolen from her driveway. Its value was estimated at $60. Theft Unit block of Pine Run Place On Friday, Nov. 30 a resident of the unit block of Pine Run Place reported that sometime between Nov. 10 and Nov. 23 a ring valued at $2,000 had been stolen from his home.  Various workers had access to the home during that time frame. Burglary, Vandalism and Other Incidents Make Police Blotter

Police recently responded to reports of vandalism, burglary, theft and more.

In addition to the pending DUI charges for a man who fled a car crash, Northampton Township police also reported to incidents of criminal mischief, burglary, vandalism and more. Criminal Mischief 500 block of Hollyknoll Drive A resident on the 500 block of Hollyknoll Drive reported that sometime after 5 p.m. on Nov. 19 his vehicle was vandalized. A headlight was broken along with a plastic piece around a passenger side window. The manufacturer’s symbol was also ripped off of the vehicle.
