Tyler Park Arts Center Raising Money for Six-Ton Kiln
Tyler Park Center for the Arts is seeking to raise $8,500 to support the Manabigama kiln project.
Artists, students and volunteers at the Tyler Park Center for the Arts are working to raise money for a six-ton community kiln that will become a permanent fixture at the park. The effort -- the Manabigama kiln project -- (Manabigama is Japanese for “a beautiful learning kiln”) will heat up Feb. 8, when a party will be held to raise money for and awareness about the project. The party will be held at Tyler Park Center for the Arts beginning at 7:30 p.m. In addition to enjoying refreshments and music, attendees can learn about the kiln project. The event is free and open to all. The arts center is seeking to raise $8,500 to support the kiln project. A fundraising page has been launched on Indiegogo. As of Tuesday, $4,093 has been raised. "…
