Parks and Rec Offering Discounted Movie Tickets

The discounted tickets are $7.50; the price will increase to $8 on Feb. 15.

Northampton Township Parks and Recreation is offering residents the opportunity to purchase discounted move tickets. The discounted tickets are $7.50; the price will increase to $8 on Feb. 15. The regular price for adult ticket is $11.50. The tickets can be used at any Regal or United Artists theatre and can be purchased at the Parks and Rec office at the township Administration Building. Call 215-357-6800 x 249 to check for availability. There is a United Artists theatre in Langhorne at the Oxford Valley Mall.

Yogasphere to Open Richboro Location Sunday

The Richboro location will specialize in hot yoga.

Yogasphere, a yoga studio based in Newtown, is opening a Richboro location. The Richboro studio, to be located at 883 Bustleton Pike next to Coyle's Music, will specialize in hot yoga. According to a Facebook post from Yogasphere, the studio is scheduled to open this Sunday, Jan. 27. The first class will begin at 10 a.m. "Yogasphere’s Hot Yoga Classes are challenging and fun with positive effects often being felt just after one class," the website states. "Benefits of Hot Yoga include accelerated weight loss, detoxification, stress reduction, improved balance, mental clarity, concentration, peace of mind, and a greater sense of over-all well being." Police: Items Worth More Than 8K Stolen from Two Local Businesses

Items were taken from Handy Man Builders and Franklin Instruments in two separate incidents this week.

Northampton Township police say thieves targeted two local businesses this past week, stealing more than $4,000 worth of goods in two separate incidents.  The first incident occured overnight Sunday at Handy Man Builders on Buck Road. According to police, sometime between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 7 a.m. Monday, several items were taken from an open area on the business property. Stolen items include: a bush hog; an industrial landscaping rake; two aluminum extension ladders; a stainless steel gas grill and various pieces of aluminum scrap. The combined value of the items was estimated at $4,400, police said. The next incident occurred sometime overnight Thursday at Franklin Instruments, police said.
