Kids Explore Art Camps in Various Media
There is still time to sign up for summer camps where students can create their own pottery, fiber crafts, and drawings and paintings at Earth Center Pottery.
Art in the morning, pottery in the afternoon! Kids ages nine and up can explore various artistic media at Earth Center Pottery (ECP) this summer. For those who want to explore in-depth fine art techniques, there is a camp for you this August! This week kids are discovering "The World of Fiber and Its Ancient Origins" with instructor Gina Tavelli. The first half of the week, students designed and created a wall hanging after they learned fiber preparation and various wet felting techniques. Later in the week, they created three-dimensional felted sculpture (the images reflect unfinished pieces). Next week Tavelli will instruct students on learning about endangered animals and creating animal fiber sculptures in the "More Fiber" camp. In the…
