1. Have a bootin’ scootin’ good time at tonight’s free Country Line Dance Lessons. Class starts at 6pm. 2. Treasure Your Toddler Story Time: Gather at the Southampton Library at 10am and 11am for story time with your youngster. 3. Weather: There is a 30% chance of showers today, according to the National Weather Service. The high is 86 degrees. There will be mostly clear skies in the evenings with temperatures dropping to a low of 61 degrees. 4. Car lovers unite! Shady Brook Farm will host its weekly Cruise Night at 6pm. 5. There’s nothing trivial about trivia! Stop by Big Heads of Holland for Quizzo at 9pm.

The Spring Frenzy Has Arrived

The mad rush to the end of the school year is about to begin.

  When the kids said the PSSA exams were coming, the only appropriate reaction was dread. Not because of the tests, but because of what that signaled -- the beginning of the Spring Frenzy and the looming mad rush to the end of the school year. As we transition out of a mild winter, everything begins to accelerate. Baseball and softball seasons begin, which means evenings and weekend wrapped up in practices and games. Every musical ensemble presses for more time in preparation for the year-ending concerts and there are spring field trips to consider. With an eighth grader in the house, there are also plans to be made for the middle school finale. All of these create a giant jumbled mess on the calendar and try as we might to control it, we …
