Council Rock Unveils Concussion Prevention Program
Council Rock School District, St. Mary’s Medical Center, and Princeton Brain and Spine Care have joined forces for the Concussion Prevention and Education Project.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, sports cause as many as 3.8 million brain injuries each year. More than one million of those injuries happen to high school athletes. Council Rock School District, the Trauma Prevention Program at St. Mary’s Medical Center, and Princeton Brain and Spine Care have joined forces to prevent local teens from becoming the next victim of brain injury. The newly-launched Concussion Prevention and Education Project aims to provide parents, students, teachers and coaches with the educational and technical tools they need to prevent brain injuries from athletics.
