The Holland man who went missing almost three months ago has resurfaced and is in no harm.
Brian Shipley, a 21-year-old Holland resident who disappeared almost three months ago, has been found safe in the area, according to a Courier Times article. His mysterious disappearance without wallet, keys or other identification, puzzled police officials who were trying to track him. Shipley was last seen on Feb. 13 along the Neshaminy Creek near the George School. Multiple searches were conducted in the immediate and greater areas, and Detective John Gross said he "almost disolved into thin air." Gross met face-to-face with Shipley after he contacted a friend last week and said he was in the Delaware area. His reason for leaving was that he needed to "get away," the article said. Police are still hopeful about finding Brian Shipley, though they'll need the community's help to do it.
Though it's been more than a month since Brian Shipley's disappearance, Northampton Township police are still working actively on the case and have no reason to believe he isn't still alive. The 20-year-old Holland resident went missing on Feb. 13 around 10:30 p.m. and hasn't been seen or heard from by friends and family members since that time. "There's no trail and no track," Detective John Gross said. "He almost dissolved into thin air." Several searches, including one by helicopter, were conducted of the area where Shipley was said to disappear and none of them found anything. Missing person Brian Shipley's friends have compiled another video urging him to return home.
Though it's been two weeks since he first went missing, Brian Shipley's friends have not given up the fight to bring him home. A new video has personal pleas both through video and screen shots of posts on Facebook. His friends have adopted a policy of leaving the light on to show him their doors are always open. This one already has almost 1,500 views, while the first video is pushing 5,000. Friends continue to use the Twitter hastag #findshipley, the Twitter account @findshipley and a Facebook page to spread the word. Churchville Elementary is sponsoring a used book sale in honor of Read Across America Day, Mar. 2. They're accepting book donations starting now. Books will be sold for $1 and the proceeds will go to March of Dimes. At the Board of Supervisors meeting last night, the board announced that residents are allowed to start using their new trash receptacles as they receive them. Missing person Brian Shipley disappeared on the evening of Feb. 13.
It has been more than a week since 20-year-old Brian Shipley went missing from his home in Holland. While his friends and loved ones immediately made use of social media like Twitter and Facebook, they've recently released a YouTube video they're trying to spread, said Shipley's girlfriend Natalie Baladof. They have also posted a website with photos and a description of Shipley. The video is a compilation of pleas from his friends to return home. Some remind him of inside jokes and good times they've had together, others tell him their lights are always on for him and they need him by their sides. Each person tells him they love and miss him. Missing Endangered Person Brian Shipley of Holland has yet to be located. On Feb. 13, at approximately 10:30 p.m., Brian Shipley of Holland left his residence in the Village Shires community. Brian had not taken his needed prescribed medications and may become disoriented. He was last seen in the area of the George School and the Neshaminy Creek in Langhorne, Middletown Township. Shipley is described as a 20-year-old, light-skinned black male, approximately 5-foot-11-inches, 175 lbs., brown eyes, short black hair with a lightly trimmed beard. After a local Holland man went missing two days ago, his friends and family have taken to the internet to try and help locate him. Brian Shipley was last seen around the George School and Neshaminy Creek in Langhorne on the evening of Feb. 13. He is a light-skinned black man at 5-foot-11-inches tall and approximately 175 lbs.
