CR South Grad Needs Marrow Transplant
A bone marrow donor drive will be held on Saturday, Nov. 24.
Nick is a 21-year-old Council Rock South graduate who was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma two years ago. He needs a marrow transplant. Nick's brother and sister were tested, but aren't a match, so in attempt to find a match, a marrow donor drive will be held Saturday, Nov. 24 at the Northampton Township Administration Building. "He needs a marrow transplant," Richboro resident Harry Murray told the board of supervisors on Nov. 14. "We are running out of options and his life depends on help from you and I." Murray explained that Nick has gone through grueling medical procedures, but has not complained once, and that he is actually more concerned about how his mom and dad are coping with his disease. Thank you for posting this story! My birthday is in a few days and my children didnt know what to get me. I really do not need anything, nor really want anything. When I read this story, I suggested that for my birthday, we all get "swabbed". And they all agreed...it was the best birthday present ever!
