Tyler Park Seeking Volunteers for Trail Crew

Volunteers are needed on Sept. 21 to do repairs and improvements to the Nature Trail.

Tyler State Park is seeking volunteers to help its trail crew on Sept. 21. Volunteers will help perform repairs and improvements to the Nature Trail.

Those interested should meet at the Blaker Barn located on No. 1 Lane Trail. (Enter the park from the Rt. 332/Arts Center entrance.) Work will begin at 10 a.m.

Park in front of big white barn located on the trail.  Work will consist of constructing equine trail steps, stabilizing stream crossing, cutting back brush from trail and clearing debris from trails.  Limited tools will be available. Bring shovels, hand saws, gloves, a good pair of boots and water if possible.

This event is suitable for all 15 and up; no experience is necessary. It will fulfill community service requirements.
