Weekend Planner: Ice Cream Tasting, Paddle Boat Regatta and More

Here are a few events to check out this weekend.


Where/When: Shady Brook Farm, (931 Stony Hill Rd., Yardley,); Friday, July 6; 6 p.m.
Why Go: Free music and wine is a great way to kick off the weekend.
Cost: Free


Where/When: Newtown Business Commons on Newtown Yardley Road; ; Saturday, July 7; 3 p.m.
Why Go: The Fourth of July celebrations don't have to stop yet. This Saturday enjoy a parade, block party and fireworks. The parade begins at 3 p.m. at the Newtown Business Commons on Yardley Road and will end at Goodnoe's Corner. The block party begins at 6 p.m. and the night ends with fireworks.

Where/When: The Tubby Olive (17 S State St., Newtown); Saturday, July 7; 2 p.m.
Why Go: Learn about the art of ice cream making and sample a tasty treat with John Fezzuoglio owner of oWowCow Creamery. 
Cost: Free

Why Go: Twelve teams of four people will race. If you're not participating in the regatta, stop by and enjoy the paddle board races Lake Luxemborg.

Why Go: The Dennis Ostopowicz Band will perform at the summer concert series. Bring your own chair for your comfort.
