Weekend Planner: A Fair, Bull Riding, Parades & More

Here are some ideas for Memorial Day weekend!

When/where: Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Wrightstown Township Municipal Building, 2203 Second Street Pike

Why go: Pick up fresh veggies from local producers

Where/when: , 700 York Rd, Warminster, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

Why go: Find trinkets and treasures from more than 50 vendors.

Where/when: York and Horsham roads, May 25-June 2 at 6 p.m.

Why go: Enjoy an evening of rides, games and refreshments for the whole family.

Cost: $2 per night, or $5 for week-long pass for adults; free for children under 12 and military, police, fire and EMT.

What: The yearly event will feature a flag lower/raising ceremony. Also, a local member of the Navy will be welcomed home.

When/where: Monday 9 a.m. at Robert H. Dembowski, Jr. Veterans Memorial Park (at the corner of Second Street Pike and Almshouse Road).

Why go: Pay honor to those who serve.

Cost: Free

Where/when: , 1034 2nd Street Pike, Richboro, Saturday at 8 p.m.

Why go: Area radio station WXTU will be broadcasting live from the Richboro Pub, where there will be bull riding and drink specials.

Cost: Free

What: Newtown’s annual Memorial Day Parade

When/where: Monday starting at 9 a.m. throughout Newtown Borough and Township

Why go: Honor our veterans by attending this parade, which is organized by American Legion Post 440.

Cost: Free

What: Get outside and enjoy the annual parade

When/where: Monday at 10 a.m. starting at the Township Building, east on Henry Ave, north on York Rd, east on Street Rd, north on Louis Drive, parade ends at the VFW Post on Louis Drive.

Why go: To honor those who have served to keep America free and prosperous.
