Northampton Indians Headed to Nationals

The 2013 Eastern Region champs will play in Florida on Saturday.

The Northampton Indians are headed to the Super Bowl.

The Division II Junior Peewee team, which clinched the Eastern Regional Championship last month, will play its first game at 11 a.m. Saturday at the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex. The Indians are taking on Connecticut's Stratford Redskins in a game that is scheduled to be broadcast on ESPN3.

The winner of Saturday's game will advance to play at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10. The Division II Junior Peewee Super Bowl will be played at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14.

The Indians are under the direction of head coach Jim Trampe and his coaching staff.
