Justin Pugh, who plays offense for Syracuse football, is headed to the NFL Draft in April.
Pugh, a Council Rock South graduate, will forgo his final season at Syracuse and enter the NFL draft, the Syracuse Post Standard reported.
Pugh is a six-foot, six-inch offensive tackle from Holland.
Pugh posted his decision to enter the draft on Twitter earlier this month.
In a Jan. 3 tweet, Pugh wrote: "I have decided to forgo my last year of football at Syracuse University & pursue my dream of playing in the NFL.Thanks for all the support!"
According to reports, Pugh finished his coursework and has earned his degree. He posted a picture of his diploma on Twitter earlier this month.
“It’s been my dream since I was a little kid playing with my buddies,” Pugh told the Post Standard. “I had a great four years at Syracuse. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to play my college ball."
The NFL Draft begins Thursday, April 25.
