Seniors Set to Attend Prestigious Schools

92 percent of Council Rock School District graduates will go on to college.

Tonight, 1,062 seniors will graduate from Council Rock schools, and 92 percent of them will continue onto college, according to a statement released by the district.

Of that group, 28 students will be attending Ivy League schools. In addition, students earned more than $12,000,000 in scholarships for their higher education.   

"Among many statistics that accompany our senior class, this is one way to quantify the value of a Council Rock education," the statement said.

Students collectively worked more than 40,000 hours of community service, according to LINCS reports.

Council Rock students will represent the community at these colleges and universities:

United States Naval Academy, United States Air Force Academy, Harvard, Princeton, UC Berkley, Yale, Penn, University of Chicago, Brown, Notre Dame, Johns Hopkins, Penn State, Cornell, University of Pittsburgh, Northwestern, Carnegie Mellon, Emory, Muhlenberg, Georgetown, Boston College, UNC Chapel Hill and Georgia Tech.

Ceremonies begin at 4 at Council Rock North and 6:30 at Council Rock South and will continue rain or shine. Congratulations to the class of 2011.
