Council Rock School Board will hold a public hearing on Thursday, Jan. 19, concerning renovations at Goodnoe Elementary.

The Council Rock School Board of Directors passed a resolution that allows the district to advertise a hearing for renovations to Goodnoe Elementary.

The board will hold a public hearing for the  project at their first meeting next month, on Feb. 2.

Other motions passed at the meeting include an amendment to the 403(b) plan based on the Federal Heroes Earnings Assistance and Relief Act of 2008 (Heart Act). The amendment, which adds does not affect cost for taxpayers, was a necessary measure that addresses interruptions of pay and benefits as a result of uniformed military service.

Also, the board discussed approving the PDE 2028 form at the Jan. 19 meeting. Many members agreed that having the option to opt into Act 1 gives the school district the most flexibility in determining the 2012-2013 budget.
