Isabella Scotti wins Media Festival Logo Contest

The Media Festival will take place in May at Newtown Middle School.

Isabella Grace Scotti, 11, of Richboro, created a design she thought would best represent the media of today’s world when she submitted her artwork to the 2012 Council Rock Elementary Schools logo contest.

The sixth grader learned her color pencil inspiration was chosen from 150 entries throughout the district, and she was honored at the school board meeting on Dec. 15 with a certificate.

The logo already is on the Council Rock School District website at the top of the invitation for elementary students to submit media projects for the March festival in various categories.

Isabella’s design incorporates nine characters, each representing one of nine different media: (front row) music, television, comedy, tragedy, and computers; (back row) art, cell phone, videogames, and film. Behind the characters are fireworks representing fireworks one might find at a festival.

When asked where she got the idea for the poster, Isabella responded with a smile and said, “It just popped into my head.”
