Help Council Rock Win B101 Choir Competition

Council Rock South's choir will be featured on Monday, Dec. 10 at 7 a.m. Council Rock North's choir will be featured on Wednesday, Dec. 12 at 7 a.m.

Both Council Rock high schools have advanced in B101’s Christmas Choir Competition and you can help them go all the way.

Council Rock South’s choir will be featured on Monday, Dec. 10 at 7 a.m.  Council Rock North’s choir will be featured on Wednesday, Dec. 12 at 7 a.m.  

The winning choir on each morning will move on to the finals and the overall winner will be announced on Friday, Dec. 14.

To vote, visit the B101 website at this link on the morning of each competition.  

For the past four years, Philadelphia-based B101 has sponsored the Christmas Choir Competition.

“The competition involves an initial audition and then a showcase of local choirs whose audio rendition of a song will be played on the radio.  Listeners are asked to listen to the choirs and then vote for their favorite,” according to information from the district.

The winning choir will sing with Peter Nero and the Philly Pops during a concert on Dec. 19 and receives a new Cunningham Grand Piano. The second place winner will receive a cash award of $2,000 and third place, $1,000.
