Fall Festival Set for Saturday

Council Rock South's annual Fall Festival is tomorrow at the school.

This year's Fall Festival at Council Rock South will feature more than 35 school clubs and organizations, as well as games, activities, food and more.

Each group will sell food or run games or activities by means of raising money for their organizations.

"It's a fundraiser, but it's also an opportunity to make the community and students aware of the various activities that go on at the school," PTO President Denise Brooks said. "It's a lot of fun."

In addition to the clubs' tables, there will be an auction for visitors. Included in the prizes are: a free oil change, Florida tickets, junior prom and winter ball tickets, a DeSean Jackson jersey, a $50 Oishi gift certificate, a Wii bundle and more, Principal Al Funk said.

"We are very much looking forward to this year’s Fall Festival," Funk said. "It is a great way for the school community to gather, enjoy wonderful food and games, and raise money for various clubs and activities."

There will also be raffle baskets with different themes such as a Kertain basket, Halloween basket and "Night Out on the Town" basket. Visitors can purchase raffle tickets during the festival and the drawing will happen right before the auction.

"We are so thankful for our supportive community as so many businesses donated such generous items for this day," he said.

In addition, the Council Rock South Orchestra will hold a carwash from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and they are taking any size donations for that service.
