Council Rock Planning Environmental Film Contest

Students from grades one through 12 should create a three- to five-minute film to enter the contest.

As part of Earth Week, Council Rock School District’s “Green Team” is planning a Environmental Film Festival.

Students in grades one through 12 are invited to produce a three- to five-minute film in support of Council Rock “going green.”

The films can be from individual students or groups of up to three students, according to the contest rules.  Submissions will be accepted from now until April 20. Earth Week begins April 16 and goes through April 20. The three winning films will be announced April 23.

“The theme for the film could emphasize the initiative of the district, an individual school, a school’s environmental club’s activities or their own go green idea,” according to the rules.

Film festival winners from elementary, middle and high school will receive a tree to plant at their school.  Elementary winners will also see their media on display at the Elementary Media Festival in May, according to the contest rules.
