Churchville Elementary Renovations Almost Complete

The school is ready for students this week and should be completely finished with construction by October.

For Principal Jill Kingston, the renovations to Churchville Elementary School don't just mean a new office and updated technology.

Kingston said she feels "really, really fortunate" about the school and deemed it "a really beautiful school for the students."

The construction, which has been ongoing since April of 2010, includeds new spaces and updated spaces throughout the building, she said.

There's a new main entrance, administrative offices area, gymnasium, music classroom, art room, computer lab and four-classroom suite. The library was completely redone as were many of the existing classrooms.

Bright, colorful paint and freshly laid concrete aren't the only new additions to the building. Now, every classroom has a SMART Board, which allows teachers to interact with students in a new and very digital way.
