Please vote in our poll: If the governor knew about the political-payback scheme, should the state Legislature move to remove him from office?

Gov. Chris Christie, appearing at a press conference at the Statehouse in Trenton, apologized to New Jersey residents last month regarding the "Bridgegate" lane-closure scandal that involved political payback for the Fort Lee mayor not endorsing him.
Gov. Chris Christie, appearing at a press conference at the Statehouse in Trenton, apologized to New Jersey residents last month regarding the "Bridgegate" lane-closure scandal that involved political payback for the Fort Lee mayor not endorsing him.

An attorney for a principal figure in the "Bridgegate" scandal that has plagued Gov. Chris Christie's administration reversed course Friday, indicating the governor knew about the George Washington Bridge lane closures in Fort Lee all along, according to a Star-Ledger report.

The governor denies the allegation, but the new allegation begs the question: Should the state legislators who have been investigating the depth of this scandal now take action that could ultimately remove Christie from office?
