Township Planning Survey Open to Residents

Township officials want to know what locals want to see in their town.

The Northampton Township Planning Commission has created a survey asking residents what they want their community to look like in the future.

While the survey does not specifically mention the Davis Pontiac site, its creation was related to the controversy surrounding the possible development of a new chain grocery store on its property. The commission wants to know what locals think would be best for the area, and thus the survey was formed, according to Board of Supervisors Chairman George Komelasky.

The survey includes simple demographical questions and more in-depth, opinion-based questions. The range of topics includes age group and work location to commentary on standards the township should set for Richboro and Holland building facades.

The township is urging residents to take the survey so they can have as much feedback as possible regarding future decision about planning and business properties and so that the community can have its voice heard.
