Tonight's Supervisors Meeting to Feature Flag Placement, Police Awards

The Northampton Township Board of Supervisors meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. at the township Administration Building.

Tonight's Board of Supervisors meeting will feature several special ceremonies, including a flag placement, check presentation and recognition awards for police officers.

The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. at the township Administration Building.

There will be a flag placement for Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class, Corpsman Bryan G. Lynn, who was deployed to Afghanistan in July 2012 and is serving with the Mag3 VMM 161 Marines.  A flag with a streamer containing Lynn’s name will be placed in the display by his parents.

Following the flag placement ceremony, a check will be presented to the Liberty USO. The check represents the proceeds of the Northampton-Liberty USO Dinner Dance, which was held in November.

There will also be special recognition awards for Northampton Police Department officers who exhibited exemplary achievement in the line of duty.
