Spring Hydrant Flushing Begins Tuesday

Residents in the areas being flushed may notice discoloration in the water, which should not be used for drinking, cooking and washing clothes that day.

The annual spring flushing of fire hydrants and water mains in Northampton will begin Tuesday. Residents in the areas being flushed may notice discoloration in the water. The water should not be used for drinking, cooking or washing clothes between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. the day of the flushing.
