Police Officers Honored for Service

Ryan Jumper was honored as the Northampton Police Department's Officer of the Year.

Three-year veteran of the Northampton Police Department Officer Ryan Jumper was honored as the at Wednesday night's Board of Supervisors meeting.

Jumper, who serves on the department's 3rd Platoon, received the award after a his fellow officers voted for him.

Jumper's family, fellow officers and District Attorney David Heckler were present to watch him accept the award from Chief Barry Pilla.

Several other members of the Northampton Township Police Department were also honored for their service to the community, including Chief Barry Pilla. Pilla has served with the department for 35 years.
