Parks and Rec Schedules Vision Meeting for Input

The purpose of the meeting is to gather input from the community about the most important issues for the future of the township.

Northampton Township Parks and Recreation is hosting a Public Vision Meeting Feb. 21. at the Township Administration Building. The purpose of the meeting is to gather input from the community about the most important issues for the future.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m.

This is the final Public Visioning Meeting required in order to receive grant money from the Pennsylvania State Department of Conservation and Recreation.

The meeting will help shape and update of the township's Comprehensive Parks and Recreation Plan. This plan will address the current and future needs of the community as it pertains to recreation facilities and programs, according to information from the township.

The Township has contracted with Boucher and James Consulting Engineers to complete this plan. Judy Stern Goldstein, ASLA, R.L.A. will be the Principal-in-Charge and Valeri Liggett, R.L.A. will be the project manager for this project. Dan Sharapan, Director of Parks and Recreation for Warwick Township, will assist to provide additional park and recreation knowledge.

"Your input is necessary to plan for the future and to complete the update to the Comprehensive Parks and Recreation Plan," a notice from the township Parks and Recreation Department said.
