Oil Prices Down, Local Gas Prices Up

Despite a drop in the cost of crude oil, gas prices at the pump increase about 9 cents since last week.

On average, you are paying 9.2 cents more per gallon to fill your tank this week than last week, according to AAA’s Fuel Gauge Report.

This comes after the price of crude, which gasoline is made from, dropped in price by $3.69 per barrel, but that is still more than it has been in recent months, the reports explains.

Pennsylvanian’s are paying an average of $3.536 a gallon, up 7.8 cents from a week ago. In the Philadelphia area, the price is $3.631 per gallon, up 9.2 cents since last week, according to the report.
