Mosquito Spraying Coming to Northampton Twp. Wednesday

Spraying is said to be quick, effective and safe.

The Bucks County West Nile Program will spray for mosquitos throughout parts of Northampton Township on Wednesday.

Truck-mounted equipment will spray an insecticide that targets adult mosquitos that carry the West Nile Virus. Spraying will occur in neighborhoods and parks and will not affect people, pets or the environment, according to a county-issued release.

"Weather conditions and other unexpected events could delay or cancel this spray operation," it said, "If conditions do not allow application on Sept. 11, the following evening will serve as the back-up spray date."
