Memorial Day in Northampton

Consider attending the flag ceremony to pay respect for those serving in the military.

Though Memorial Day is notoriously known for pools opening and family barbecues, Northampton Township has something else planned that drives to the heart of the holiday.

The Board of Supervisors invites the township to a ceremony, beginning at 9 a.m. at the Robert H. Dembowski, Jr. Veterans Memorial Park (at the corner of Second Street Pike and Almshouse Road).

First there will be a flag lower/raising ceremony, including the American flag and six others representing the branches of the military.
