Hydrant Flushing Underway

If you see a discoloration in your tap water, don't be alarmed. First check the list of fire hydrants and water mains being treated during the Annual Spring Flushing of Fire Hydrants and Water Mains.

The spring flushing began yesterday and will last through May 20, according to an a article released on the Northampton Township website. Officials will be taking care of three to six areas each day, according to the schedule.

Locals affected shouldn't use the water for drinking, washing or cooking while the flushing is going on from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
