Flag Day Ceremony

The Northampton Township Board of Supervisors and the Township Veterans Advisory Committee are pleased to announce that Northampton Township will hold a Flag Disposal Ceremony on Flag Day, Thursday, June 14 at the Northampton Township Municipal Park located off Hatboro Rd, Churchville from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The public is invited and encouraged to take their old or tattered U.S. flags to the ceremony for proper disposal.

The program will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. with opening remarks followed by posting of the colors by the Color Guard from the Marine Corps League’s Patriot Detachment #1230 Richboro, singing of the National Anthem by the BucksMont Squires of Song, and the Pledge of Allegiance. Following a keynote address by Vietnam War hero and Medal of Honor Nominee David Christian, the Scouts will begin the burning ceremony until its conclusion. A token of appreciation for attending will be provided compliments of Lynne Kelleher (flags) and Gasper Landscaping (potted plants).
