Davis to Appeal Giant Decision

Glenn Davis and the Dreher Group plan to appeal the Board of Supervisors' recent decision.

After the Board of Supervisors' decision to , property owner Glenn Davis said he and the Dreher Group plan to appeal.

The Addisville Commons plan that was on the table would put a Giant at the old Davis Pontiac site in Richboro.

"It was pretty clear that what we were doing, what we're trying to do, was within the guidelines of the township regulations," Davis said. "From our estimation, they should've approved it."

Davis said he believes he has an excellent chance of prevailing in court because they met the requirements outlined by the conditional use application.

"We feel this is the best use of the property," Davis said, adding that he thought the true best use would be the original plan they proposed that included three more acres and was accompanied by a smattering of restaurants, shops and apartments.

"That used all the property in the most efficient way," he said. "It still met with the and the township ordinances."

The plan would bring more than 200 jobs, would improve the traffic situation and stormwater plan, and bring restaurants and amenities to the town that aren't already there, Davis said.

"We're not talking about a junkyard. We're not talking about a strip club. We're talking about a supermarket," he said.
