Replaces former Bucks County E-Alert system.

Bucks County government is working to make electronic communications to residents and visitors easier than ever, according to a release.

In March, the county announced the new BC Connect e-mail newsletter, which residents can sign up for on at BucksCounty.org.

The newsletter will contain news releases, a recap of the commissioners’ meeting, updates from the Health Department and emergency information.

BC Connect replaces the county's former Bucks County E-Alert system.

The new information distribution system gives residents a "choice to the types of things they like to hear about, and to get the information in a modernized manner," Commissioner Chairman Robert Loughery said in a statement.
