Citizen Diagnoses GOP Fall from Leadership

A Holland resident explains why he thinks the Northampton Republicans lost leadership in office at the last general election.

 

In response to the general election that this past November, resident Bill O'Neill, of Holland, posted an editorial on phillyburbs.com about why he think the Republican party lost control.

In it, he says a "political tsunami" led to the end of the "dynasty," which was "horribly broken."

He said a few of the GOP mistakes included hidden records, disrespect for citizens during meetings and a that attacked private citizens.

"This was a victory for Northampton," O'Neill wrote. "Northampton came together and voted justice over party loyalty. All day at the polls, I heard from people fed up with the local chaos, the dirty tricks and the insider deals."
