Barry Pilla 2:24pm on Saturday, July 23, 2011 From my family to yours; my deepest sympathy to the Elwell family on their loss. Sergeant Elwell is a true American Hero and this was a wonderful and deserving tribute to one of own. Additionally, what can be said about the outstanding men and women of "Warrior's Watch", the USMC Patriot's Detachment and other Veterans, elected officials and residents who came out to honor this fallen hero. I would like to single out the dedicated Veterans of Warriors Watch and the Patriot's Detachment who ask for nothing and are at every tribute for our fellow veterans. They don't care if it is pouring rain or draining heat, such as last night. They stand tall and do their duty. Although they make me very proud to be an American and a Vietnam Veteran, their actions should make us all proud of our good fortune to have these men and women amongst us. God Bless Sergeant Elwell and his family, Barry Pilla, Chief of Police, Northampton Township US Army Security Agency, 1967 - 1971
