Boards, Commissions to Discuss Budget Hopes with Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors will meet tonight with the township's boards and commissions to discuss their tentative budgets for 2013.

Northampton Township's various boards and commissions will meet with the Board of Supervisors tonight to discuss their tentative budgest for 2013.

Finance Director Robert Armelin said that the groups present their tentative budgets for the next year, though its a casual conversation with no decisions being made.

"Nothing formal gets decided," he said. "Actually, no decisions are made."

The boards and commisisons—such as representatives for the library, Parks and Rec and more—come with a "wish list" that the supervisors will use when working on the budget.

An actual budget session will take place next month, Armelin said. The township calendar shows that a budget workshop is scheduled for Nov. 8 at 6 p.m.

He added that the meeting on Monday, Oct. 15 is just an opportunity for the organizations throughout the township to disccus their realm with the supervisors.
