UPDATE: Township Roads Closed

This is an updated report from the NTPD about the state of township roads this afternoon.

Due to the heavy rains in recent days the Neshaminy Creek, along with other small streams in the area, are expected to crest this afternoon. Numerous bridges and roads are currently closed as a result of the high water. When possible barricades have been placed to alert motorists of the closures. Police have asked motorist to not move the barricades or drive through high water.

"Your actions can directly effect and endanger other motorist as well as emergency responders and is a violation of the PA Crime and Vehicle Codes," a statement realesed this afternoon said.

Police are encouraging motorists to stay off of the roadways. Also, when the waters recede bridges will need to be inspected prior to the reopening of roads.
