Underage Drinking Party Results in Fight, Police Say

Police said they responded to Cornell Avenue by Bustleton Pike shortly before midnight Friday after someone reported an underage drinking party.

An underage drinking party Friday night on Cornell Avenue resulted in a fight on the lawn as well as a DUI arrest, Northampton Township Police said.

Police said they responded to Cornell Avenue by Bustleton Pike shortly before midnight Friday after someone reported there was an underage drinking party and a fight at the residence.

When police arrived in the area, an officer saw car attempting to leave the area. Officers stopped the car arrested the driver, a 20-year-old Langhorne resident, on suspicion of driving under the influence. The passenger, a 19-year-old Richboro resident, was cited for underage drinking.

The party was taking place in the loft of a detached garage, where scattered alcohol and beer bottles were found, police said. Four people – all under 21 -- admitted to having been drinking, police said.  Three female teens and a 20-year-old male were cited for underage drinking.
