Two DUI Arrests Among Recent Police Activity

Northampton Township Police made two DUI arrests Friday.

Northampton Township Police made two DUI arrests Friday, according to information provided by the department.

According to police, a 23-year-old Warminster woman was stopped for erratic around 4:30 a.m. on Hatboro Road by the Northampton Municipal Park.

Officers observations led police to take her into custody on suspicion of having been driving while under the influence.  She was transported to the Saint Mary Medical Center where samples of her blood were obtained for analysis.

She was then taken to NTPD-HQ and processed before being released, police said. Charges relating to DUI are pending the lab report, police said.

The second arrest was made shortly before 1 p.m. on Buck Road after police said a car turned right off of Woodlake Drive, crossed the center line of the road and entered the officer’s lane. The officer stopped the car on Heron Road and identified the driver as a 25-year-old Holland resident.

During the traffic stop, police learned he had an outstanding arrest warrant issued by District Court in Bensalem. Police observations and field dexterity tests led police to take him into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence.  He was transported to the Saint Mary Medical Center where samples of his blood and urine were obtained for analysis.  After processing at NTPD-HQ, the man was turned over to Bensalem Township Police.
