Woman Killed in Shooting ID'd as Northampton Resident

Officials say Philipp, of Richboro, shot Isackov in a parking lot off Bustleton Pike and fled through Northampton.
Action News reported the shooting occurred around 5:30 p.m. as Isackov and her daughter were picking up a dress from a nearby store.

Philipp was then stopped by police on Buck Road, where he engaged in gunfire with officers, according to published reports. An officer was shot, but saved by his bullet-proof vest, according to Phillyburbs.com.
It was not immediately clear if the officer fired the fatal shot or if Phillip committed suicide, the article reported.
The 50-year-old man was a familiar face to local police. In November, he was arrested outside of his ex-wife’s home with a knife.
In 2011, Northampton police said an unidentified woman reported having a dispute with him and he pulled a knife. The report provided by police at that time said Philipp “was known to officers due to prior police contacts.”
