Police: Woman Ate Stolen Goods

Township police say she tried to leave the store without paying.

Doylestown Township police have cited a woman for taking $10.13 worth of food from Redner's without paying for it.

Police were called to the market at 1661 Easton Rd. on Monday, Feb. 20, around 12:25 p.m. for a report of disorderly conduct.

Investigating officers determined that Irene Prifti, 60, of Danboro, had removed items valued at $10.13 and walked around the store eating.

She then attempted to leave the store without paying for the food, police said.

Officers issued Prifti a summary citation for disorderly conduct and released her.

Retail Theft

On Feb. 22, the department was called to for a report of retail theft. Investigation determined that Jill Brassel, 31, of Newtown, had removed and concealed items of jewelry valued at $116.

She was issued a summary citation for retail theft and released.

Driving Under Influence of Alcohol

On Feb. 18 at 12:40 a.m., a vehicle was observed traveling on Route 611 swerving in the lane of travel. The driver, Fernando Tovia, 51, of Jamison, had the odor of an alcoholic beverage about him.

He failed to satisfactorily perform field sobriety tests. He was arrested and provided blood samples for testing. The above charges were filed before District Judge Mark Douple on Feb. 21.

Driving Under Influence of Alcohol and related charges

On Feb. 19 at 2:20 a.m., a vehicle was observed traveling on Route 611 swerving in the lane of travel. The driver, Michael Colorundo, 35, of Bristol, had the odor of an alcoholic beverage about him.

He failed to satisfactorily perform field sobriety tests. He was arrested and provided blood samples for testing. The above charges were filed before District Judge Mark Douple on Feb. 21.

Do we really need to put the name of the woman who stole $10 worth of food. That's not a big deal at all. I'm sure she's had enough shame.
