Police Investigating Theft at Shop-N-Bag

Police are seeking clues into a theft by deception incident that occurred Monday night at the Richboro Shop-N-Bag.

Northampton Township police are seeking clues about a strange incident in which a man duped a cashier and stole cash from the Richboro Shop-N-Bag.

According to police, shortly after 8:30 p.m. Monday, a man came into the store and attempted to purchase a bottle of soda with a $50 bill. He then asked the cashier to change a $50 bill, but reconsidered and decided he wanted change for a $100 bill instead.

Police said the manager reported the man spent a “remarkable” amount of time at the register attempting to change the bills.

Later, it was discovered that the cashier’s register drawer was short about $150.

Police are seeking clues into this theft by deception incident. The man involved is described as a clean-shaven white male in his 30s.
