Police Investigating 3K Theft from Local Cleaners

And seven cars parked on Plumly Way had their tires slashed Friday night.

A representative of Earl’s Cleaners on Second Street Pike reported on Tuesday that between April 2012 and January 22, approximately $3,000 in cash has been taken from the business. Police are investigating the matter.

Northampton Township police also reported the following recent activity:

Officers responded to the 100 block of Plumly Way at around 9:30 p.m. Friday for a report that some cars in the parking area had their tires slashed. On arrival, police found seven vehicles with one or more tires slashed.

A resident reported that sometime between Sunday morning and 7 p.m. on Tuesday, someone had entered her unlocked vehicle that was parked in the driveway on Forrest Drive and rummaged through its interior. Nothing was found to be missing or damaged, police said.
